A Simple Wedding Brunch

What can we serve for a wedding brunch that will be easy to prepare in advance? We plan to cater it ourselves. There will be 50 or so guests.
Thanks.

Answer:

That’s great that you plan to cater your wedding yourself. You probably already realise how much money you’re saving. Fifty guests is a very manageable number and brunch is especially easy to prepare.

Many foods can be purchased pre-made such as bagels, muffins, assorted pastries, quiche and salads. Fish and meat such as smoked or poached salmon, ham and beef can also be purchased pre-made.

If you plan to make many of the items yourself, most salads can be made a day or two in advance. Just put the dressing on before you serve it or they'll go soggy.

A lot of the prep work can also be done in advance such as chopping and slicing of fruits, veggies, and cheeses. See also these menu suggestions for 50 people.

Best wishes!

Nicola
