Buttercream Icing Quanities For A Wedding Cake
Someone has suggested that crusting buttercream icing on to a cake would be best for sticking chocolate cigarillos onto a three tier wedding cake. What quantities of buttercream would I need for filling and icing a 12" chocolate sponge, a 10" lemon sponge and an 8" carrot cake please?
It is best to find a recipe that will yield a little bit extra as opposed to having too little. Any extra buttercream can be frozen for up to three months. Defrost in the refrigerator and gently whip up before using. You may need to add a little icing sugar to get it to the proper consistency. It’s great to have handy for cupcakes. Hope that helps. ![]() You'll find 100's of great value wedding suppliers in our wedding directory. Start your search now... |
