Ideas For Cheap Bridesmaids' Shoes

Cheap bridesmaids' shoes may seem impossible to come by. You want your attendants to look pretty and to match, and it might seem like you have to spend a fortune to do these things. This isn't the case, though. There are lots of ways to save on bridesmaids shoes. Here are just a few ideas.

Shop at the right places for the right shoes

The best way to start saving is to shop at the right stores. You already know, probably, which cheaper shoe stores you prefer.

You can get cheap bridesmaids' shoes at stores like M&S, Barratts and BHS. Shoes will be even cheaper if you start looking for them months in advance so that you can catch sales at the stores that already have the best prices!

You also need to go with a more affordable shoe. One excellent option is to buy satin shoes. They're comfortable and come in lots of different styles. Plus, they can be dyed to match your bridesmaids' dresses exactly. Steer clear of expensive designer shoes and styles that will have your attendants' feet aching all day long.

Other money saving tips

If you find shoes that you love but that are too expensive to fit in your budget, ask your bridesmaids to go halves. Chances are that if you like them, so will they. Good, comfortable, stylish shoes will most likely go with more than one dress. Your bridesmaids won't mind paying part of the cost of shoes they'll be able to wear again.

Bridesmaids Shoes

Choose a neutral shoe colour and ask the bridesmaids to just wear shoes in that colour. Depending on dress colours, you could request silver, black or even gold. These colour shoes are easy to find, and your bridesmaids might even have a pair that suits already.

If you want, you can place a few restrictions on the type of shoe you want. For instance, you might request that the shoes have heels, have no heels, are open toed, or are close toed. That way, things will be a bit more uniform, but you'll still get cheap bridesmaids' shoes.

Purchase plain cheap bridesmaids' shoes that you can embellish on your own. This is even more fun if you can get embellishments that match the bridesmaids' dresses perfectly. Then it will look like you paid a fortune for shoes that were made for the dresses, but you'll really just be using cheap bridesmaids' shoes. You can use ribbons, jewelry and fake flowers to dress up otherwise boring shoes.

All these ideas can help you save money on your bridesmaids' shoes. The best advice is to start looking for the shoes well before your wedding. That way, you can take advantage of sales or take time to embellish the shoes on your own.
