For a stunning venue, cheap wedding chair covers are a must. They make a lasting impression for any guest and really finish off a venue.

Chair covers are often expensive though and with most priced at about �3 per chair, before VAT and an organza sash, kitting out your wedding reception could leave you short of a few hundred quid.

Although chair covers are not necessary, they do make a venue look very appealing. You can match the colour of the organza sashes to your wedding theme. It isn�t necessary to have these chair covers though � I didn�t at my wedding. Instead I just had the gold gilt chairs and to me, it looked fine.

You can however find cheap wedding chair covers. There are several online companies that deliver nationwide. The best one I found was for �2.99 including the organza sash by a company called www.chaircoverhire.com. (Often the organza bow is not included and will add 50p-�1 to the price of each chair).

With these online companies, you simply order through their websites. On top of the chair costs, there�s usually a delivery cost as well, either per mile or a flat fee depending on how many covers you hire.

There are different types of covers for different chairs, so don�t worry about whether the covers will fit or not. You just need to know the type of chair you�ll be using at your wedding and mention it when you order.

With chair covers, they're often dropped off a couple of days before the event. This will give you time to set up the venue and learn to tie the sash! Often the sash doesn�t come ready tied, so a bit of practice will help!

If you want to save some extra money, then there are DIY services out there as well. With a DIY service, you'll need to iron the covers before the event, but it will save you about 50p per chair. Perhaps that's a job for one of the relatives!

To keep the price of the cheap wedding chair covers low, most of the suppliers won�t set up your venue. So you�ll need to allow time to fit all the covers over the chairs. Novices can usually fit 100 chair covers and tie 100 bows in an hour � but it will take two people. Many venues will be happy to put the chair covers on for you, so best to check � it will save you time!
