Cheap Wedding Favours Come All Wrapped Up
One easy way to have cheap wedding favours is to go for gifts or sweets that don't need to be packaged. These types of gifts are either already wrapped up or can work on their own, therefore you don't need a favour box or bag.
Eliminating the need for a favour box is one way you can reduce the cost of your wedding favours.
Sweet treats all wrapped up
Some great sweets come pre-packaged and make perfect cheap wedding favours. My favourite by far is mini packets of Lovehearts.
It will bring back some great memories of your childhood as well as fitting with the theme of love and marriage. With wrappers that say "Just Married", "Bride and Groom" or your names, these little packs of Lovehearts are great and very affordable.
Fun size chocolate bars (Mars, Snickers, etc) also make great wedding favours. They're already wrapped up so you don't need a box or bag and will sit neatly at each place setting.
On a chocolate theme, you can also buy packs of Chocolate Buttons or other types of chocolate wrapped in foil or paper. Again, they don't need to sit in a box or bag.
There are hundreds of different chocolate shapes you can choose from, including hearts, shells (great for beach wedding favours), circles, stars or squares. You can also personalise them with a message as well if you like. There's a great selection of wrapped up sweets, including the original Chocolate Buttons themselves at the Chocolate Buttons sweet shop - the largest online sweet shop!
Other stand-alone gifts
Candles make great cheap wedding favours too. You can easily pick up multipacks of tealights for less then £5. You can then cover the outer metal casing with a piece of ribbon. A personalised message could be attached for each guest - making these one of the cheapest wedding favours around. And your guests will find the personal message really special too.
Mini bars of soap and bath bombs also make great gifts. They're often wrapped, but not always the cheapest - so search around. Alternatively, you could have a go at making some soap - it'll be fun too!
TeachSoap.com has some great recipes for any crafty brides-to-be.
Other great favour ideas are photo frames, small toys, puzzles (like the ones in a Christmas cracker) or photo holders. Shop around, especially in "pound shops" - you'll be surprised at what you might discover.
Going for pre-wrapped or pre-packaged items as wedding favours is one way to save money. You could also try
