DIY Table Centrepieces

by Victoria
(London)

My husband-to-be has hayfever and won't hold up too well around a big lush bouquet, so my bridesmaids and I are having silk bouquets which we're going to use as DIY table centrepieces.

Between us, we have the same number of bouquets as tables for dinner, so instead of expensive centrepieces I'm going to buy simple vases from Ikea (they're less than a fiver each) and fill them with decorative stones, also from Ikea, before putting a bouquet in each. I may also decorate the vases with leftover ribbon from my DIY invitations - depends on how much ribbon there is and how it looks!

It means I don't have to buy centrepieces plus my bridesmaids and I have somewhere to put our bouquets while we eat. Perfect!

If you're using real flowers you could of course just replace the stones with water.
