Do I Need A Hygiene Licence?

by Rob
(Cheshire)

If you intend to charge for a buffet to make a profit then do you need a health and safety certificate of any sort?

Answer:

This is not my area of expertise.

I would encourage you to call your local council and speak to someone in the Environmental Health Department about hygience certification.

You can also get information from the Food Standards Agency - Food hygiene legislation - what you need to know.

I hope that helps

Nicola
