Ideas For Cheap Wedding Venue With Accommodation

We are currently planning our wedding and would ideally like to have the ceremony and reception in the same place. We would also like to have accommodation on or very near to, the site of our reception so that guests can have the option of booking for the night. Obviously, this would normally mean getting married in a hotel, but as our total budget is £5,000 this is proving problematic. We plan to invite between 100-150 people.

Getting married in a hotel is likely to send you over budget based on your budget and number of guests, but all is not lost. There are plenty of venues you could use that would give you the flexibility of having accommodation close to the wedding reception.

Community centres, arts centres, museums and town halls all have spaces to hire and they're usually centrally located. Therefore you'll find plenty of hotels and bed and breakfasts nearby for your guests.

You could also consider residential training centres run by the local government. These are often out of town, but have somewhere to stay on site. Depending on where you live, you can often find gems of buildings that are stunning too. Start by looking on your local government/council website.

There are also holiday cottages too. Often where you find one holiday cottage, you'll find several and some of them sleep up to 30 people. If you can find a suitable venue nearby – pub, hotel or town/village hall, you could have your wedding reception there and your guests could stay in the nearby pretty holiday cottages.
