Leicester - Free Wedding Venue

After looking at countless expensive hotels and venues we have come across the perfect venue for our reception and it is FREE, yes FREE (well just £30 for them to clean up afterwards but the actual room is FREE)!

It is our local Working Men's Club - it may not be for everyone but with some decoration and a little imagination the room can look lovely - we will be getting chair covers to transform the chairs and of course table clothes so the room will look like any other expensive venue.

Another good reson to go for somewhere like a Working Men's Club is the price of drinks - very reasonable.

So if your stuck for cheap venue ideas look in to your local Working Men's Club and the money you save from not having to pay for the venue you can spend on something more important like the honeymoon for example.




Perhaps you'd send in some photos of your wedding? It'd be great to see how you transformed the room. Nicola x

I am also having my wedding reception in a Working Mens Club. It has a very large Function room and with a little bit of Decoration it can look just as expensive as any venue. But other than that it will be a cheap night all round for everyone as the drinks are very reasonably priced. x

HIya,
I was thinking of this idea too, especially for the cost of drinks for your Guests as many venues are quite expensive in this area and it feels a little unfair to ask people to pay a lot when they have probably travelled to the party and also bought new clothes.

I also like it as it is supporting local businesses which is terribly important at this time.

When i was little most wedding receptions i went to were at premises like this, i think sometimes people can forget the meaning of the day with all the show and razamataz.

I would love to see pictures too, as i have afew ideas but even more would be great!
