Seasonal flower bouquet for July

What flowers are in season in the UK in late July? And do you know of any flowers markets/wholesalers in Gwynedd, N Wales?

Answer:

The great thing about July is that there are loads of lovely flowers in season.

You can create exotic bouquets using anthurium and orchids, a country style bouquets using lily of the valley, peonies and forget-me-nots, or go for a traditional style wedding bouquet with roses and lilies.

You literally have lots of options to choose from and a good florist will be able to advise you better.

Here’s a full list of flowers in season in July:

• Bouvardia
• Carnation
• Chrysanthemums
• Cornflower
• Delphiniums
• Echinop
• Fotget-me-nots
• Freesia
• Gerberas
• Gladiolus
• Iris
• Hydrangea
• Lavender
• Lily of the valley
• Marguerite (daisy)
• Orchid
• Peonies
• Phlox
• Rose
• Stock
• Sunflower
• Sweetpeas

There are a few flower wholesalers in North Wales. There’s Blooms in Deeside (0800 298 4688) which is open to the public and deliver and there's Triangle Nurseries (01255 861263) which offers wholesale flowers and is based in the south of England, but delivers nationwide.

If you fancy an outing, then there’s the wholesale flower market in Liverpool (Edge Lane, Old Swan, Liverpool, L13 2EP). It’s open to the public daily, but from 4am in the morning and closes by lunchtime. On a Saturday, it closes at 9am, so you’ll need to get there super early!

Hi there
There is a market in Liverpool that sells flowers, it is open very early so you would have to go up. I believe its open on tuesdays and thursdays. best of luck
