There’s already going to be lots of items on your tables, so its best to keep your wedding table decorations simple. A good idea is to consider using an item you already need to put on your table and make that your centrepiece. For example, pile up your favours on a plate or cake stand in the centre – it’ll add a splash of colour and a little bit of height. Try adding balloons to your table. They’re a cheap alternative to flowers and add good height and colour too. Don’t forget to anchor them down well though. Use a tall vase and fill it with water and floating petals, flowers or slices of pretty fruit. Alternatively, use it without water to hold candles or fairy lights. Make sure that the vase isn’t too high or too full as your guests will want to see each other! Use a candelabra for an air of sophistication and gentle mood lighting.
Add colour through ribbons. Satin ribbons come in all different shades, so you could alternate strands of coloured ribbon across the table for two-tone effect. Another option is to tie ribbon around your napkins as a napkin ring, or around the stems of your glasses. Finally, a cheap way to add a bit of colour is to use coloured sweets – either wrapped up chocolates with colourful foil wrapping or wrapped boiled sweets. They also make great treats for your guests or double up as your favours too. Don’t forget though, there will already be lots of items on your table – so don’t go too crazy with your wedding table decorations. Related articles: |
