Hatswell meadows is so lovely and we only paid for the stay and £350 extra to get married. So for about £900 we had a wedding venue and our honeymoon. We took it over on the Friday, had a wonderful evening in front of the log fire, got married on the Saturday in the wonderful hall, our friends left on the Sunday and we had the rest of the week as a honeymoon. The house only does small weddings (up to 40 people) so the venue is designed for them. No squeezing into the corner of a large venue and sharing the facilities with loads of other people. The owners did not insist that we used their caterer or wine merchants. We were free to do what we liked, so we arranged to have a buffet done by friends. Well worth it if you are looking for at unusual or intimate wedding venues in Devon."
