Generally it’s really difficult finding venues where you can cater and bring your own alcohol to keep costs down, and you can here. In addition, you can have the actual ceremony here, as they are licensed!! And we all know that having a single venue can help keep costs down as well as making logistics simple. They have an option to hire for the weekend, which means if you are catering for yourself then you can use their kitchens. I'm not getting married but am a bridesmaid and so was researching prices. I don't think that you should begin married life under a heap of debts, it’s not about the day really, and it’s about celebrating the rest of your lives together. I'm keeping this at the top of my list of wedding venues in Hampshire for the future!!"

Recommended by Victoria O'Toole: "We haven't done this, but really wish we had now! It is one of the best alternative wedding venues in Hampshire. Down on Bournemouth beach you can hire the beach huts for as little as £8 for the full day and evening (depending on exact time of year) Hire a few of the beach huts in row, they all come with a few chairs in them, and other facilities inside, get your guests to all bring a bottle or similar, with a beach chair or some blankets, gather some of those disposable BBQs, (£1 each in pound land) and bulk buy some food at a wholesalers or somewhere cheap like ASDA and have a good party on the beach. It’s a really cheap option, but still perfect for photographs, the children will enjoy running around the beach for the afternoon, and wears them out for the evening, and no need to worry about a full DJ, just an iPod with external speakers/docking station with all your personal songs on it. You could use some flowers or balloons from the church to put around the place to set the scene. We really love this idea and have adapted a few of these things into our theme, had we thought of it before we had put the deposit down on our actual venue, we would have done."
