Recommended by Claire Smith: "The British Legion Hall wedding venue Hertfordshire, has a bright, nicely decorated hall and is large enough for my 140 guests with a stage at one end and a bar at the other. There is plenty of parking too! For £200 we can use the hall from 1pm until 12am and this price includes the bar staff for free (plus the drinks are sold at club prices) and the staff will clean up at the end of the night. Also they're allowing us to bring our own wine in and only charging us a corkage fee of £3.50 which will cut our costs a lot. They have always been friendly and helpful and the British Legion is a CHARITY so all the profits they make will help all our heroes who go to war for our freedom, so everyone's a winner!"

It has a real luxury feel but without the high prices and will be perfect for beautiful wedding photos. Recommended by Selina: "This cheap wedding venue in Hertfordshire has a wonderful wooden floor, is not too huge and is adjacent to a green where we set off fireworks at the end of our night. They have changing rooms/toilets a newly equipped kitchen/bar area, plenty of tables and chairs and space for setting out food, everyone brought a dish, only £150 for the night and no hassles. Our biggest expense was the five piece band we hired, but well worth it as the callers broke the ice and everyone loved it. It was so good and cheap we are thinking of doing it again!"
