It holds 140 (or 160 at a push) people, has a stage for a band at one end of the room and a bar at the other. It has lots of windows down one side so it's nice and bright and best of all, it is really cheap to hire! It is only costing us £25 to hire it all day (we thought they were having a joke!). I've spoken to the local caterer that they use, for prices for a buffet dinner and am waiting for a quote. I don't think it's going to be more than about £10 per head and the drinks are really cheap too." It is quite classy, has character and is surprisingly free to hire. The package deals you can optionally choose to have are the cheapest I've seen and yet the services of a lot of the top wedding suppliers in the area are enlisted. It is really easily accessible for guests to travel to and from via road and train and can be made into a dream venue with the right decorative touches to create a personal look. It's capable of holding small intimate weddings of 50 to large ones and the staff make you feel really welcome. The inside has been recently refurbished in the hotel so there is an element of surprise when you go inside from what you expect when you see the building from the outside. It's really excellent value for money and if you do choose a package deal you will get red carpet treatment. They allowed us to pay in instalments that we could afford too. I highly recommend it!"
