When and How Do I Start Planning My Wedding?

I really want to get married but haven’t got a clue where or how to start? I want a registry office to keep costs low but again what do I do?

Answer:

The first thing I recommend is to talk to your partner about the kind of wedding you both wish to have.

Write down your ideas together so you know what you both expect and what you want your wedding to look like.

Once you have your ideas in place, you should make a budget. Have a look at my free printable budget to get you started. The budget will not only help you get your finances in order but it will also show you which aspects you want to include so you know what you need to start planning for.

You can contact your local register office to find out the specific rules for marriage, you can also find some general information here about the legalities of getting married.

Good luck and remember that you can always visit the forum with more questions.

All the best

Nicola
