Where Can We Elope To?

My girlfriend and I want to elope to somewhere in Europe. I'm from England and she's from the USA We want it to be just the two of us. Any ideas?

There are plenty of places in Europe where you can easily elope to. One of my favourite countries is Cyprus as it's so easy to get married over there. The laws are similar to the British laws and all legal documents are in English, making it simple and easy to get married there. Another bonus is that it's actually quite cheap too.

Greece is another popular destination. The islands are extremely beautiful with pale blue sea and white sandy beaches. The perfect place to start off your married life together.

A quick search on Google will bring up hundreds of companies willing to help you get married both in Cyprus and Greece, have a good look around and see what they're offering. Many of them offer a full range of packages and services from simple paperwork services right through to the full shebang!

If you fancy something a bit more traditional, why not try Scotland? Gretna Green is famed for its eloping couples, so why not follow in hundreds of other couples footsteps and try a Scottish wedding? It's probably not the cheapest option, but when you include flights, accommodation etc with going abroad, you're probably on a par with going to Europe.
